If you're looking for an intricate plot and mega-angst, go watch Mirage of Blaze or Ai no Kusabi. If you're looking for a fun (if, perhaps, too short), cute and cuddly sex-romp, you've found the right show. Sensitive Pornograph (great title) is a thirty minute long anime that consists of two stories.
The first is a love story about a couple of manga artists, Yamada Seiji (22) and Hanasaki Sono (32). Seiji is a shonen manga artist and (near as I can tell, from what they show of his art) Sono is a yuri manga artist, who is constantly taken to be a woman by those he hasn't met.
The anime starts right off with the two of them in bed and then flashes back to a month earlier when they first met. Sono approaches Seiji as a fan and they go out for coffee, at which point Sono reveals who he is. (Seiji is, of course, a fan of Sono's work as well.) This leads to drinks and drunken stumbling home. Care to guess what happens next?
Seiji then asks Sono to be his boyfriend and a happy little honeymoon period begins. But this is an anime with some plot, therefore there must be some angst. While trying to finish up his allotment of pages for the month Seiji's friend, noticing the Hanasaki manga, makes the comment that there is a famous rumor among manga artists about Hanasaki Sono being a slut that will have sex with anyone that asks.
Enter dramatic thunderstorm and the fateful confrontation.
I won't spoil the rest, except to say the ending is probably one of the sweetest things I have seen in any anime, period. (Or so the romantic sap in me says.)
Now, the second story is as absurd as the first one is adorable. It centers around a pet-sitter, Ueno, who goes to care for a "rabbit", Aki.
Aki ends up being a naked pretty boy, bound and gagged in the closet. The confused Ueno sets him free, all the while concerned as to where the rabbit is. (As Aki comments, he's not the brightest boy.) They proceed to have sex (or Aki starts having sex with Ueno who later decides to join in), because this is the sort of game that Aki's master likes to play. The next day at school (college I'm assuming) Ueno is lamenting that he won't get to see the kitties and the puppies any more because he no longer has his job. At which point Aki, all bandaged up because he dared to leave his master, shows up looking for Ueno and lunch.
The only comment I have on this story is that it was entirely too short. I would have liked more of the back-story on Aki and his master, but that would have probably made it angsty and not oddly cute.
Anyway, this is a really fun anime, and good quality too. Both stories have tangible plots and even though they are short I did not feel cheated (like with Fish in the Trap). The animation is nice and clean, it moves fluidly and I found the style very appealing. The naughty bits are pixilated in my version, not that it's hard to see what's happening anyway. And the times when there was music in the background it reminded me of a soap opera soundtrack, but it never seemed out of place. One thing I would like to say that was truly awesome about this anime was the voice acting, especially whoever did Aki's voice.
All and all, Sensitive Pornograph is a very fun and enjoyable anime that I would highly recommend to any yaoi lover.
