9 Dead Gay Guys is an "almost" parody of Guy Ritchie's Snatch, it's a fast paced funny film that delivers exactly what it promises, 9 Dead Gay Guys (and 1 dead lesbian).

The film starts as Kenny, Bryon's old pal from Belfast, seduced by Bryon's many tales of the golden streets of London, decides to visit him and finds the man in a ramshackle apartment, on a terribly worn cot, and obviously drunk. Kenny comes to find out that Bryon is now turning tricks at local gay pubs. Though not gay himself Bryon has a fairly indifferent attitude about his lot.

The real story actually begins when we hear people at these pubs discussing that the "Queen" has died. This is misleading as they are not talking about the Queen of England but the first dead gay guy. This begins Kenny and Bryon's wild journey of trying to figure out how and why the "Queen" was killed, and a possible treasure they might find when they figure it out.

Though death is a main theme it's a light hearted movie with interesting characters (from a gay seme midget to a lesbian more commonly known as The Iron Lady) and situations that are hilarious, embarrassing, and sometimes adorable.

I'd recommend this movie for anyone who would like to escape from the angst that seems to dominate gay film.
